Final Countdown...

I still can't get over the friends and neighbors pouring out of the woods to donate goods and services on Geniel's behalf.  Our goal was to ease her burden and it is happening.  Three people stopped by this morning to drop of goodies before I even had my hair up.
I had a nice little panic attack yesterday when I couldn't find my stock pot to cook the spaghetti in.  Come to find out, I had taken it with clam chowder to a friends house and forgot to pick it up.  So while they were at work,  I snuck into their house grabbed my pot and the biggest one they had too.  Last night I had a dream about spaghetti, the noodles were crunchy....
If you are in the area please come for a day of fun.  I promise, no crunchy noodles, and I won't sing...  just a lot of laughs, smiles, and maybe even some tears, as this amazing little village comes together for a sweetheart of a girl, Geniel.

My Friend Geniel

I am hosting a "Day of Fun," benefit for a good friend of mine next weekend.  Gotta get "the Coop" all fancy-smanshy.  You know, this is what Inkom does for its friends and neighbors and I am happy to be a part of this little community where people care.  I'd love to see YOU on Aug. 21st, right here, and I'll even make you dinner.

A Pinecone Treasury

A very creative, Ella, from dollsandbunnies, featured my creamer and sugar set in an Etsy treasury called, Pine cones. As the temperatures soar all I can think about is cool mountain breezes and the smell of pine trees in the air.  Please someone invent "smell-a-vacation."  While I "pine away" for the mountains take a look at this treasury.  Have a great day.

Old Blue

I purchased this beach cruiser several years ago and there she sat in my garage with flat tires covered in dust.  I decided to get her in running condition because I read about a fellow Etsian who rides her bike everyday to the post office.  She puts her packages in her wicker basket and off she goes.  So darn green, love-a love it.  Also, my Daughter-in-law Tiffany wanted to use it as a prop for her photography.  (You have got to check out her blog- see my blog list)  Well okay, I haven't ridden old blue to the post office yet, but she and I did take a maiden voyage around the yard.  Then I thought... why not take a few photos and see if I could come up with something for a business card.  Hmm... note to self, don't take pictures outdoors on a windy day.  The loaded bike fell over and broke a little white urn.  The ironstone came crashing out of the basket and I thought I was going to be sick.  Luckily, no damage done, guess that's why they call it ironstone.

I hope you enjoyed my photos and have a beautiful day.

Hollyhocks and Foxgloves

Good day to everyone.  I wanted to share two photos.  My earlier gardening attempts are paying off.
 Enjoy!

Cherries Jubilee

I went for a little walk outside this morning and was amazed at my little old cherry tree.  Poor thing was struck by lightening and the middle is dead.  I keep telling myself, that tree has got to go!  And then it starts to bloom and by mid summer you begin to see all of the fruit.  It is a pie cherry tree so the fruit is fairly bitter, but the birds love it.
