My First Blog

Hi Everyone,
Here is my very first post! My fingers are trembling. I am so excited to share with you who I am and what I have been doing. Yes, many of you already know that I have an Etsy shop which has brought me countless hours of fun, not to mention all of the lovely people I have met through selling my wares. So the "doing" is all about lovely vintage things that I have had for years or newly stumbled upon treasures that I carefully prepare for YOU at Etsy.

The "doing" is all about fixing up my home, finding time to be artistic and crafty, keeping up a long distance relationship with my boyfriend, loving the grand babies,  my three grown-up sons, their three adorable wives/fiance', maintaining a full-time, very demanding job, and oh, did I mention I am turning 50 this summer....

First thing on my "To Do" list:  I want to share with you as often as I can my newest decorating plans both inside and outside of my cottage. I'm a Virgo and therefore things change a lot! And there will be lots of stories to tell about my cottage. (I really need to be in the mood to tell you a story or shall I say... urban legend... of my humble abode). I want to share pictures of pretty old things, sweet babies, yum-yum good food, and let you get to know me.

So lets have some fun together. Lets do this little thing called blogging! I can't wait for a comment or two. Can I tell you a secret? I have been reading your blogs for about 4 months now and feel as though we are already friends. ...  There is something about people who love to decorate and have an eye for all things vintage.

  1. Hi! I'm at Ruth's looking at your blog. Your flower is a columbine, not a wild orchid. I only know because we have many columbine here in a variety of colors. Nice blog! Keep up the good work!
