Gotta Love Idaho Spuds
Can you imagine my surprise when I was grabbing a few potatoes to make my famous clam chowder...? Suddenly, I had that warm-fuzzy feeling when someone tells you they love you for the first time. Perhaps, this is was message from the Big Man above telling me everything will be alright. Whispering to me not to worry about the leaking roof on the back porch and bathroom, reassuring me that its okay when your furnace, hot water heater, and dryer all break within a week of each other... a quiet message to remind me that no matter what happens, everything always works out.
Of course I couldn't use it in my recipe. It sounds like the Coop is falling apart huh? Maybe I did- but just for a moment! More to come on the latest changes and upgrades around here. This is truly a time to "Give Thanks." I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I Was Up at 4:30 AM. How About You?
Geez, My biological clock is a little off. This rainy morning I was up before first light. It was nice though. I caught up with all of my fellow bloggers, ate some leftover Halloween candy bars and took a few snaps in the misty morning hours. Enjoy.

Remember the Cherry Tree in August?
Another reason why I can't chop it down.
And okay, I played around on Picnic this morning too.

Officially Getting Ready for Fall at the Coop
Although we have had cloudy skies and a bit of rain, it still is managing to get into the 60's if not higher every day. I am ready for, "jacket weather." The leaves are turning so I know its coming. Do you get that cozy nesting feeling like I do, the first time you turn on the heat? It happens to me every Autumn when I look around and see so many projects that the other season, ahh-umm, Summer allowed me to ignore. All I want to do is hang out with friends, sip hot coco, eat carmel apples and watch movies. Of course, I will have paper in hand to create a detailed to-do list of things to get done before Thanksgiving.
In the meantime, grab an apple and enjoy some outdoor color from "the coop."

It's Been a Long Time Friends
Greetings to you all. Life has been an absolute whirl-wind since the benefit for Genielle. Who may I say, has had surgery and is recovering now. Thank you again for your support and help to make her benefit a success. We all worked together so wonderfully and mmm... that spaghetti was dang good.
Then school started. The year always starts off with changes to the system and 25 plus smiling little faces. As a twenty year veteran, you dig in, establish the routine, and teach.
We had some funky weather around here and everything in the garden partially froze. I had plans of beautiful, "after" pictures of the veggie garden. Alas, I am left with oodles of green tomatoes, teeny-weeny pumpkins, a couple of cukes surfacing above crunchy brown vines. I did find something growing in my garden though and isn't she a beauty.
